The Alnwick Summer House provides a stylish retreat in the garden where shelter from sun and showers can be enjoyed while taking in views of the garden.
Constructed from 12mm tongue and groove shiplap cladding – well-known for its strength and weather-resistance – the shed’s strong build is supported by a 34x34mm frame. The floor is also tough 12mm tongue and groove for long lasting durability. The overhanging apex roof is 8mm OSB and finished in felt; it covers a lovely veranda area with supporting posts and side balustrades.
Entrance to the summerhouse is via double entrance doors, largly glazed to ensure light and ventilation to the interior. A traditional latch closure completes the entry way.
This garden building is supplied dip treated with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported with annual retreatment. An upgrade to a top coat is available for this summer house. This top coat is a wood stain that provides a waterproof coating to resist algal and fungal attack. It nourishes the wood to provide year-round colour and protection. Two coats are applied, by the manufacturer, to both the interior and exterior of the building. As a dip-treated summerhouse, it is usually recommended that the customer apply a treatment upon assembly; this top coat eliminates the need to do so. The colour of this stain is called “gold” which is an orangey-yellow.
