10×10 Shire Highclere Contemporary Wooden Summer House

The 10′ x 10′ Shire Highclere Contemporary Summerhouse (3m x 3m) is a contemporary garden room offering ample space for relaxation and entertaining all summer long.

This 10×10 summer house is constructed from 12mm tongue and groove shiplap cladding, well-known for its weather resistance, strength and durability, and supported by a robust 44x44mm frame. The floor is also strong 12mm tongue and groove, suitable for furniture and regular footfall. The gently sloping roof is 12mm plywood and comes with a premium mineral felt covering to keep out the rain.

The fully-glazed double doors are fitted with a key-operated lock to keep the summerhouse’s contents safe. Together with 4 further windows, they fill the interior with natural light. The windows are made from styrene, which is virtually unbreakable and far safer than conventional glass.

This stylish summerhouse is supplied dip treated with a 10-year anti-rot guarantee, when supported with annual retreatment. An upgrade to a top coat is available for this summer house. This top coat is a wood stain that provides a waterproof coating to resist algal and fungal attack. It nourishes the wood to provide year-round colour and protection. Two coats are applied, by the manufacturer, to both the interior and exterior of the summerhouse. As a dip-treated garden building, it is usually recommended that the customer apply a treatment upon assembly; this top coat eliminates the need to do so. The colour of this stain is called “gold” which is an orangey-yellow.
